Astrology Unraveled is an independent product built and run in India. We are the data fiduciary for everything described here, and you can reach us at astrologyunraveled@gmail.com — that address is also our grievance contact under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

• Your account — the phone number you sign in with, your name, and your plan.
• Birth details — date, time and place, for you and for anyone you add: a partner, parents, children, pets, a business. This is what the chart is calculated from.
• What you add — your own life events and dates, the remedies you tick off, and the questions you ask Unravel along with the answers it gave.
• Usage — how many questions and WhatsApp messages you have used this month, so plans work, plus ordinary server logs.
• WhatsApp — if you switch the briefing on: when you opted in, the time you chose, which family members to include, and for each message we send, whether it was sent, delivered, read or failed. If you message our number, we keep your message for 30 days so a retry is never answered twice.

We do not collect your location beyond the birth place you type in. There are no advertising trackers or analytics pixels on any page.

Cookies: strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and keep the site secure; they are always on. Marketing and promotion cookies are used only if you allow them. Our payment and login-code providers may set their own cookies when you use them. You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings.

To make screens open instantly, your browser keeps a copy of the readings you have already opened (in its local storage, on your device only). It is tied to your account, replaced whenever something changes, and wiped from the browser when you log out. It is never sent anywhere else.

To compute charts, periods, transits and everything read from them; to show you and your household those readings; to answer your questions; to send the morning briefing if you turn WhatsApp on; and to bill the right plan. That is the whole list. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not build profiles for anyone else.

• Supabase — our database and file storage. Everything you save lives there, encrypted in transit and at rest.
• A language model, through OpenRouter — used only to put findings into readable sentences and to answer your questions. It receives your name and derived astrological facts, such as "Saturn in the 7th, retrograde" or a period's dates. It never receives your phone number, your exact birth date, your birth time or your birth city.
• MSG91 — sends the sign-in code to your phone, and delivers WhatsApp messages if you have switched them on. It receives your phone number and the text of the message, and tells us whether each message was delivered. WhatsApp itself is run by Meta, under WhatsApp's own terms.
• Razorpay — takes payments. Card and UPI details go to them directly; we never see or store them.

Each of these gets the minimum it needs to do its job. None of them is allowed to use your data for their own purposes.

When you add a partner, a parent, a child or a friend, you are giving us their birth details. Please add people you actually know, and tell an adult you have added them. Readings about someone else are shown to you, the account holder — they do not get an account of their own, and nothing is messaged to them.

Kundali matching is deliberately different. The details you type in for a prospective match are used to compute the count and then forgotten: no row, no cache, no id. A stranger's birth details are not ours to keep.

The app is for adults. A parent or guardian may add a child and read that child's chart, including their personality, growing-up stages, study and exams, and health tendencies. Those readings are written for the guardian, describe tendencies rather than labels, and never diagnose anything. We do not market to children, never message them on WhatsApp or anywhere else, and do not knowingly let anyone under 18 hold an account. A child's details can be removed at any time from the Family manager, and everything read from them goes too. If a child's details were added without a guardian's consent, write to us and we will delete them.

The Health area, and the screens on study, loans and legal matters, are read from birth details alone. We never ask for, collect or store medical records, test results, diagnoses, bank statements, credit data or legal documents, and please don't type them into notes or questions. These readings are astrological tendencies, not medical, financial or legal information about you, but we treat them as sensitive anyway: they are shown only to you, never shared, and deleted with the person they are about.

WhatsApp messages are off until you switch them on in Settings, and we record when you did. You then get one briefing a day at the time you chose, and, on big days (a family birthday, an eclipse, a major planet changing sign), a separate special-day message, which has its own switch. If you message us, the replies are answers to what you asked.

Family members you include appear as a line in your message; they are never messaged themselves. Switch messages off in Settings and they end. Every message counts toward your plan's monthly allowance, which Settings shows.

Your chart and readings stay while your account is open, because the product is useless without them. Chat history is kept so you can read it back. WhatsApp delivery records are kept for a year, and messages you send us for 30 days. Delete a person and their chart and readings go with them. Delete your account and everything is removed from our database within 30 days, apart from the minimum billing records we are legally required to keep.

Under the DPDP Act you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, withdraw consent for WhatsApp or for any person you added, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. To get a copy of your data or have your account deleted, email us from your registered email or mention your phone number, and we will handle it within 30 days.

Traffic is encrypted, the database enforces that one account can only ever read its own rows, and sessions can be revoked. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board, plainly and quickly, rather than quietly.

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
